Deadlock Immobilisation
One command from the app locks the Eco Trak system down. This is the layer you use once the car is already gone.
Home / Ecotrak S5 Deadlock
A tracker on its own tells you where the car went. The Ecotrak S5 Deadlock, sold by the manufacturer as the Eco Trak S5 Immo, also stops it. William Church fits it at your home or yard across Shrewsbury and Shropshire.

Send the make, model and year, and where the vehicle is kept. If your insurer has named a category in writing, send that wording as well.
Goes straight to William · mobile fitting · no fee to ask

A tracker is only as good as the install. A unit put somewhere obvious is found in under a minute. Pull it out and the whole system is worth nothing. William Church is an approved Ecotrak installer and does the work himself rather than passing it on.
He has spent more than 10 years in auto electronics, so the wiring is read before anything is cut into. He is DBS checked and carries £1 million of public liability cover.
The fitting is mobile. The van comes to your driveway, your yard or your workplace. The vehicle never has to leave you for a day.
Most tracker pages treat immobilisation as a single feature. The Eco Trak S5 Immo actually has two, and they work at different moments. Know which is which and you buy the right system. Miss it and you have bought a map.
The first is driver tag immobilisation. In Eco Trak's own words, the vehicle is immobilised unless a driver ID tag is within range. This one is automatic. It runs while you sleep. It also beats a cloned or relayed key, because the thief has the key and not the tag.
The second is deadlock immobilisation. That is the one you trigger, by sending a command from the smartphone app. It is for the moment the vehicle is already moving without you. Two tools for two different problems, which is why this unit sits above a plain tracker.
These are the features on the unit William fits. All of them are standard on the S5 Immo. The OBD option is the one extra.
One command from the app locks the Eco Trak system down. This is the layer you use once the car is already gone.
Two encrypted ADR tags come with the unit. With no tag in range, the vehicle stays locked down.
The app shows where the vehicle is now. That beats a last known dot from an hour ago.
Set a boundary and get an alert when it is crossed. Up to 90 days of journey history is kept.
The diagnostic port can be locked down too. That closes the route most key cloners use.

This is the maker's own spec sheet, not a sales list. The unit is Thatcham approved under certificate TSC577 and ships with two driver tags. The first twelve months of subscription are included in the price of the system.
Eco Trak publish the full detail themselves, and it is worth reading before you buy from anyone. The manufacturer page sits at Official Eco Trak S5 Immo specification.
This is the certificate number for the S5 with immobilisation category. Insurers ask for the number, not the brand.
Immobilise the Eco Trak system with one command from the app, from wherever you happen to be standing.
Two encrypted tags are supplied. Move the vehicle with no tag present and an alert goes out at once.
The unit is watched 24 hours a day from a centre approved by the National Security Inspectorate.
The app for Apple and Android shows the current position, and so does the desktop portal.
Draw a boundary around a yard, a depot or a home and get told when the vehicle crosses it.
Every journey is stored for up to 90 days, which settles disputes about where a vehicle actually went.
The unit reports across the United Kingdom and Europe, so a vehicle taken abroad is still visible.
Keyless theft is now the common method. Admiral put relay attacks behind 60% to 70% of the cars stolen in the United Kingdom in 2023. The thief never touches your key. The signal is copied from a hallway table and the car is driven off in silence.
A location only system does nothing about that. It tells you the car is moving and then tells you where it stopped. Immobilisation is the part that changes the outcome. The vehicle either refuses to move, or it stops when you say so.
Prevention still comes first. A car left on an open driveway needs more. The physical and electronic layers on the anti theft security upgrades page work alongside a tracker, not instead of one.
Make, model and year, and any category your insurer has named.
William reads the policy requirement before a system is chosen.
You pick a date and a place, at home, at work or at a yard.
The unit goes in out of sight and the wiring is made to look standard.
Both tags are paired, the app is set up, and the deadlock is tested with you.
The most common reason people call. The policy names a category and the cover depends on meeting it.
No gate, no garage and a relay attack takes under a minute. The driver tag layer is the answer to that.
A van left out overnight is a target for the contents as much as the vehicle. Alerts arrive before dawn.
Rare, classic and modified vehicles are stolen to order. Insurers rarely offer cover on them without an S5.
Units fitted in obvious places get removed. A hidden install by an approved fitter is the fix.
Two numbers matter, and only one of them is fixed. The system price depends on the vehicle and the install, so it is quoted rather than listed. The running cost is published by Eco Trak and does not change from installer to installer.
The first twelve months of subscription are included with the unit. After that the S5 renews at £180 per year, per vehicle. The S7, which tracks but does not immobilise, renews at £150. That £30 gap is what the immobilisation layer costs you each year.
Check the policy before you buy. A category is not a guarantee of acceptance, and some insurers name a specific product or an installation condition. The right order is written confirmation first, then fitting. The same point is made on the insurance approved trackers page.
This page covers one product. If the S5 Immo is more system than you need, one of these fits better.
Use this page for a system with no tracking at all, where a PIN sequence starts the car instead.
