1. About these terms
These terms and conditions set out the basis on which WAC Automotive Solutions Ltd ("we", "us", "our") provides auto locksmith and vehicle security services, and the terms on which you may use this website. By booking work with us or using this website, you accept these terms.
Company name: WAC Automotive Solutions Ltd
Company number: 16559709
VAT number: 515999835
Contact: info@wacauto.co.uk · 07356 240424
2. Our services
We provide mobile auto locksmith and vehicle security services, including but not limited to car key replacement, car key programming, spare key cutting, emergency vehicle unlocking, broken key extraction, ignition work, and the supply and installation of vehicle security products such as immobilisers, trackers, alarms and dash cams.
All work is carried out personally by William Church. We operate as a mobile service and attend suitable customer locations, subject to safe and lawful access to the vehicle.
3. Quotations and pricing
Prices for auto locksmith and vehicle security work vary by vehicle, key system and the nature of the job. For that reason we do not publish a single fixed price. We provide a quotation once we know the vehicle make, model, year, location and whether any working key remains.
- Quotations are based on the information you provide. If the vehicle or situation differs materially from what was described, the price may need to be revised before work begins.
- Where a price changes, we will tell you before carrying out any further work. You are free to decline at that point.
- Any price given verbally or in writing is valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
- Prices include VAT where applicable.
4. Proof of vehicle ownership
Before we cut or programme any key, or carry out work affecting a vehicle's security system, we are required to verify that you are entitled to request that work. This protects vehicle owners and is a condition of the accreditation we operate under.
You will be asked to provide reasonable proof of ownership or authority, which may include photographic identification and vehicle documentation such as the V5C. We reserve the right to refuse to carry out work where satisfactory proof cannot be provided. No charge is made for a refusal on these grounds, though a call-out charge may apply where we have already attended.
5. Booking, attendance and access
When you book work with us you agree to:
- Provide accurate vehicle and location details
- Ensure the vehicle is accessible and that there is safe, legal space to work on it
- Be present, or arrange for an authorised person to be present, where identification or authorisation is required
- Inform us of any known fault, previous attempt at repair, or aftermarket security system fitted to the vehicle
We give estimated arrival times in good faith. Because this is an emergency-capable mobile service, arrival times can be affected by traffic, weather, and the duration of the job we are attending immediately before yours. We will keep you informed if timings change.
We may be unable to work on a vehicle where doing so would be unsafe, where the location is unsuitable, or where access is obstructed. Where we have travelled to site and cannot proceed for these reasons, a call-out charge may apply.
6. Vehicles and work we cannot always complete
We carry seven professional key programming systems and work across a wide range of makes and models. However, vehicle security architecture varies considerably by manufacturer, model and year, and not every vehicle can be worked on outside a franchised dealership.
Where we determine that a vehicle falls outside what we can support, we will tell you as early as possible — ideally before attending. If this only becomes apparent on site after diagnostic work has been carried out, a charge may apply for the time and diagnostic work undertaken. We will always explain this to you before proceeding.
We do not carry out work that would bypass or defeat vehicle security for any person who cannot demonstrate ownership or lawful authority.
7. Payment terms
- Payment is due on completion of the work unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- We accept the payment methods confirmed at the time of booking.
- For business, fleet and trade accounts, any agreed credit terms will be confirmed in writing.
- Where a deposit is required for a specialist part or security product, this will be made clear before ordering.
- Title to any parts, keys or security products supplied remains with us until payment has been received in full.
8. Cancellation and your right to cancel
You can cancel a booking by calling or emailing us. Where we have not yet travelled to your location, no charge applies.
Consumer cancellation rights
For services arranged away from our business premises, consumers have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Because auto locksmith work is frequently urgent, you may ask us to begin work within that 14-day period. If you do, and you then cancel, you remain liable for the value of the work already carried out. Where a key has been cut and programmed specifically for your vehicle, that item is bespoke to you and cannot be returned or refunded once completed.
If we need to cancel or reschedule a booking, we will tell you as soon as possible and refund any payment made for work not carried out.
9. Guarantee on work carried out
We stand behind the work we do. Keys supplied and security products installed by us are covered against faulty parts and faulty workmanship. The applicable period will be confirmed at the time of work and on your invoice, and any manufacturer warranty on a supplied product applies in addition to your statutory rights.
This guarantee does not cover:
- Physical damage, water damage, or wear caused after the work was completed
- Faults arising from a pre-existing vehicle problem unrelated to our work
- Work carried out on the vehicle by a third party after our visit
- Batteries, which are consumable items
- Loss or theft of a key supplied by us
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to services carried out with reasonable care and skill.
10. Our liability
We hold £1,000,000 public liability insurance covering the work we carry out.
We accept responsibility for loss or damage caused by our negligence or by our failure to carry out work with reasonable care and skill. Our total liability in connection with any single job is limited to the greater of the amount paid for that work or the amount recoverable under our public liability insurance.
We are not liable for:
- Loss of use of a vehicle, loss of earnings, or other indirect or consequential loss
- Pre-existing faults, damage or wear present before we attended
- Damage arising from an attempt to gain entry or repair the vehicle made by you or a third party before our arrival
- Delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
11. Vehicle security products
Where we supply and install vehicle security products such as immobilisers, trackers, alarms or dash cams, the following also applies:
- No vehicle security product can guarantee that a vehicle will never be stolen. Security products are designed to deter and delay theft, and to improve the chance of recovery.
- Where a product requires a PIN, code or sequence, you are responsible for keeping it secure and for remembering it. We will explain how it works before we leave.
- Where a tracking product requires an ongoing subscription with the provider, that subscription is a contract between you and the provider, not with us.
- You should inform your insurer of any security product fitted. We cannot guarantee that a particular insurer will offer a premium reduction.
- Manufacturer warranties on supplied products are provided by the manufacturer and are subject to their own terms.
12. Use of this website
The content of this website is provided for general information about our services. While we take care to keep it accurate and current, we do not warrant that it is complete or error-free, and information about vehicle systems and services may change.
Information on this website does not constitute a binding quotation. A price is only binding once given to you directly for your specific vehicle and situation.
All content on this website, including text, images and design, is owned by us or used with permission, and may not be copied or reproduced without our written consent.
This website may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any external site.
How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
13. Complaints
If something has not gone as it should, please tell us as soon as possible so we can put it right. Because WAC is operated by one person, your complaint goes directly to William rather than through a call centre or complaints department.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and to resolve them within 14 days.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time you book. This version was published in September 2026.
